| Swarovski margaritas (Art. 5110), like Swarovski crystal rectangles, have long been a passion of mine. Very rare, these fabulous discontinued crystals, shaped like snowflakes or flowers (depending on whether you're a winter or a summer person :-)), are fundamentally rivoli crystals with scalloped edges. They come to a central point both front and back, and have facets radiating out like rays from the centers. This type of faceting gives greater depth and sparkle to a crystal than any other, in my opinion. I think that margaritas are one of the greatest designs created by Swarovski. The Art. 5110 crystals have a hole that passes through the bead about ¼ of the way down the bead. I present them as necklaces in this section. The aurora borealis crystals and the vitrail crystals are really two necklaces in one, since they have two different "sides" to the crystals. All of the necklaces are signed RLN and are 16-17 inches long, with a 3-inch extender. I can shorten or lengthen them (making them longer may incur an extra charge, depending on the number of extra beads required), and I can make them with either silvery or golden seed beads. |
