The centerpiece of this necklace is one of the most spectacular vintage pins that I have seen. This 3 x 2 inch pin is a montage of glass and lucite beads that are securely wired to the back of the pin. The beads include translucent pale peach flattened oval glass beads with polka dot indentations in their surface, pink and lavender glass seed beads, pink givre glass beads wired to the pin back with rhinestone-studded headpins, rose aurora borealis round flattened faceted 6 mm crystals, satin glass beads with pink stripes, small pink glass flowers wired to the pin with rhinestone headpins, and two patterns of lucite ovals. This is an incredible pin, so I suspended it from two strands of incredible glass and crystal beads. I included what are probably the rarest Swarovski crystals in my collection, 12 mm round faceted rose givre crystals from a very early lot which is a brighter and pinker rose than their later rose givre crystals were. Also included are vintage discontinued Swarovski light rose aurora borealis round faceted 12 mm crystals and vintage West German "dimpled" light peach round 11 mm glass beads with an aurora borealis flash. This pink and peach dazzler is 19 3/4 inches long, with a 3-inch extender, giving it a working length of 19 3/4 to 22 3/4 inches. The 1 1/4 x 1 inch clip-back earrings are a set with the pin that I used as the centerpiece of the necklace. Signed RLN. Price: $150 |
